Project Overview
I designed and developed krimi.gratis as a custom WordPress landing page built to turn a free Austrian crime novel into a clean newsletter acquisition flow. The experience is intentionally simple for the visitor: choose a reading format, submit an email in seconds, then continue through a double opt-in path connected to the selected eBook format.
The project combines a strong thriller-inspired visual identity with a lightweight custom theme in PHP, HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript. I implemented the subscription flow through admin-ajax.php, connected WordPress to CleverReach for form routing, contact grouping and confirmation emails, and added a dedicated admin interface so marketing settings, credentials and connection state can be managed directly from the WordPress back-office.
Beyond the capture page itself, I also structured the confirmation and unsubscribe screens so the funnel remains coherent from first click to list management. The result is a focused promotional site with real product logic behind it: immersive presentation, frictionless signup, clean segmentation and a setup that stays easy to operate inside WordPress.
